Hey folks!

A Friyay update for you all - we’ve brought back the valuation history and holdings area in the client portal with some beautiful updates.

Go check it out, and let your clients know that they can find this with the Wealth area of their client portal (don’t forget to enable Wealth in their login access)!

Enjoy, and happy weekend everyone 🚀

Improved

Good news, we’ve added a handful of other filters / options for you when working with the main cases page in Plannr, and the cases exporter.

We’ve added the following new filters for the cases page:

  • Filter by contact / client

  • Filter by circle

  • Filter by employee

And for the cases export, you have:

  • Filter by contact (and circles, if you choose “add from circle”)

  • Filter by group

We hope that helps!

Improved

We’ve just rolled out a snazzy little addition to Circles where you can now include trusts and businesses into Circles.

When creating and/or editing Circles you now have the option to include the other client types and circles will still do it’s magic by aggregating all the plans / notes etc etc together for you.

Pretty handy if you’re working with families and their trusts! Enjoy!

Improved

Hey everyone, just a little note to say that we’ve released the ability to see the legacy client data from within a circle, if we made the circle for you when Circles was released.

We’re starting the next phase of development here where we’re going to give you a new home for the data that you previously recorded against a joint client but in the meantime we’ve added the joint client to both the personal details widget on the circle’s dashboard and the “core info” tab under Personal Details.

Portal 2.0

Our new portal is an entirely new product and has been built completely separate to the rest of the codebase of Plannr. Building it away from the rest of the app has given us the freedom to create something that’s much more consumer friendly and also gives us the freedom to more easily wrap up the portal as a mobile app (expected to be submitted to the app stores end of Q1).

The new portal takes onboard lots of feedback we’ve gathered from you all on what works and what hasn’t quite hit the spot. I’ll run through each of the top-level sections below in a nifty little interactive demo.

But just like Circles, this is the start for Portal 2.0 - there’s lots of things we have planned to enhance the experience and we’re currently still working on:

  • Wealth overview / Net worth (more visualisations)

  • More detailed information in each wealth subsection (e.g. drilling into plans)

  • Ability for clients to add simple or advanced plans (either simple data collection or more advanced / detailed data collection)

  • Updating information for plan values

👆 These things are still being actively worked on, and they should get released quite quickly. We understand that many of you are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to enable clients to create and update records, among other features. Rest assured, we are committed to delivering these enhancements as swiftly as possible to meet your needs and expectations.

Fact find 2.0

Ah now this is a feature I’m super super excited to get out there! Our new fact find engine allows you to send fact finds to clients or prospects, even if they don’t have an existing portal login. It also allows your clients to add other family members into a fact find too so if you’re a firm who send a fact find out to prospects, your prospect can start to build up a picture of their family unit for you, with zero effort on your part!

When you send a fact-find, you’ll have a new option to either send via a Plannr notification or the system can output a URL that you can copy and paste into an email, a whatsapp or anywhere else!

We’ve decommissioned a few fact find blocks but don’t worry, we’ve written a migration script to move your previous fact-find schemas over to the new blocks so again, you’ve got nothing to need to migrate manually.

You can step through a tour of the new fact find experience here.

With the new fact find experience, we’re also offering more granular control on circles where you can set which individuals have write access for other members of a circle. A simple yes / no toggle is all that’s needed to set who has access on behalf of other people.

That’s it for now!

New

We have launched a brand new Circles feature in Plannr! Let’s dive in.

Circles

Circles is a new way to work with groups of clients, whether that’s a couple, a family or even every client of yours that loves golf; it’s up to you!

Circles brings with it a much more consistent way of viewing all the records that belong to each member of the circle; you will see your client information automatically aggregated into one screen so if you want to look at all the plans within the Thompson family, you can. If you want to check out all the contact details for Mr and Mrs Smith, you can! No more clicking between three different client screens to see it all, we show it all on one screen now.

This also brings a number of other benefits too including allowing you to set the individuals who own a joint mortgage and even setting the percentage ownership figures of a joint property, too.

We’ve introduced various other parts where you can link a record to multiple individuals, like contact details. Now you can load one address in for a couple, and it correctly links to the two individuals so that if you’re viewing Mr Jones’ record in Plannr, it’ll still show the joint address on his individual record.

When saving records you have a new “selector” where you can pick individual clients or a circle in bulk. This is especially useful if you’re creating a case for a circle as it’ll shortcut the process of adding every member of a circle to it. Where possible, we even automagically suggest the owners of a record so if you’re viewing a circle and go to add a case, the members of that circle will automatically appear in the list for you.

Check out our guide to creating a circle to get you started!

Joint accounts (and their future)

By building Circles we’ve sort of removed the necessity for our older “joint client” record. You will now see in Plannr we have automatically created a circle for you for every joint client you have in your Plannr instance. When you navigate to view a joint client we’ll warn you that we think you should work within the circle and we show you a button to quickly jump over to the circle, too.

Eventually, we’ll disable join clients altogether in Plannr, but for now we’ve kept the records there so that you can be sure that everything’s appearing under a circle as it should. We’ll give you plenty of warning when we plan to do that but for now we’ll display the warning above if you’re working within a joint client record. In theory, you shouldn’t need to do anything within the joint client now as there is 100% parity between a circle and the joint client record.

A refreshed page header for clients

As Plannr has grown and grown in terms of functionality there are a few parts of the user interface that we felt could do with a refresh and one of these is the top banner when viewing an individual client. Previously this was a bit cluttered and some of the information we were always showing wasn’t necessarily required to be visible all the time. So, we went back to our designer and asked really nicely if they could give the top banner a bit of a tidy up. They came back with the following (and we’ve highlighted the changes):

We’ve introduced a few new things here. First up, there’s a new icon next to the client’s name. This indicates whether or not the user has access to the portal (something people have wanted for ages!). The second new addition is the “show details / hide details” button. When clicked this will expand a hidden panel that will show you tags + groups along with the date / time when the client last accessed the portal. Again, this was another feature you’ve asked for so we’re excited to share that it’s here!

Totalled transaction amounts

This is another thing you’ve been asking for; sub totals when viewing transactions! Checkout the screenshot below:

When viewing transactions, there’s a new total shown in the bottom right.

More info when deleting a client

Previously when you deleted a client the system didn’t warn you of the impact of your actions but now we’ve introduced a little feature that will show you how far-reaching your deletion request is. Check out the screenshot below:

Now there’s no missing the impact that deletion will have!

I think that’s it for today’s rollout - enjoy having a look around all the improvements we’ve made and let us know what you think! As always if you have any questions we’re available on Plannr’s Live Chat from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm UK time. Simply click on the speech bubble icon in the bottom left of your site to start a chat with us.

Improved

When you log in to Plannr you might spot a new logo in the bottom right. Clicking that will open our new tool where you’ll see a welcome screen showing the recent things we’ve changed and various other buttons to explore our public feedback items, roadmaps and more.

The roadmaps are going to get a bit of love from our team AFTER we’ve released our new functionality this week (keep an eye out for updates tonight and tomorrow night) but the plan is that everything we’re working on will be visible on there for you to see at any time.

Also, you can vote for stuff that you would like, too! When you vote it’ll ask for three additional bits of info; usage frequency, urgency and importance. If you could take some time to pop your answers in for those as behind the scenes our product team get an aggregated view of everything you’re voting for including an AWESOME heatmap of all the things you’ve asked for. I can’t explain how handy it’ll be for our team to get decent data from you via that tool!

Oh, and the “feedback & roadmap” link under the account settings top right now opens the feedback tool full screen in a separate window which I think is a bit easier to explore if you’re looking to have a decent chomp through everything people have requested!

Keep chucking the feedback to us as ever, we really appreciate it!

New

Happy New Year Plannr folks!

Great news to start your Monday with. The talented gang at 4admin have released their fantastic integration with us and it’s well worth a look 👀

The dreaded Letter of Authority process often feels like wading through quicksand: slow, messy, and just plain frustrating

While some are making it quicker to receive provider information, 4admin are taking things to the next level!

Think about the hours spent trawling through pages of policy information only to find 50% of what you need isn't there, sending out additional information requests, manually re-typing the same data from one document to a checklist and then inputting it into the CRM

Now imagine using AI-driven tech to analyse, process and follow up on Provider Packs automatically. No more sifting through pages of info. No more re-keying of data from one place to another. No more lengthy turnarounds for clients

4admin saves up to 86% time analysing and processing Provider Packs, currently helping 100+ clients from one-man-bands to enterprise firms re-allocate this time towards improving client service!

Note: The team at 4admin have created some resources for the Plannr community, including “Real-World Case Studies” and their guide “Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the Financial Advice Back-Office”. Book a call with Co-Founder Arran here to get a live demo of 4admin, the Plannr integration and receive those resources into your inbox

Data Protection

Unlike most AI providers, 4admin is committed to;

Zero Data retention - after one-off analysis all data is wiped from their servers.

Never using your client’s data to train their AI.

Key Features

A human-in-the-loop approach, ensuring your team’s knowledge stays front and centre.

A seamless integration, moving data and documents onto Plannr at the click of a button.
