We’re excited to announce that UK AML background checks are now available in Plannr through our brand new integration with the powerful SmartSearch platform! This marks a major milestone for Plannr, one we've been really eager to bring to life. It's another big step toward making Plannr your all-in-one solution for managing the entire client journey!

This is a robust, two‑way integration so you can initiate AML checks directly from the client record. All your client data is automatically pulled in (no re‑keying needed! 💪🏼) while SmartSearch delivers real‑time UK KYC, PEP, sanctions and due diligence screening with market‑leading match.

Once completed, the full report will be saved straight to the client’s documents area, giving you a complete audit trail from start to finish, making compliance smoother than ever.

We’re excited to announce that Plannr now supports Webhooks, giving you even more power and flexibility to integrate Plannr with your existing systems.

Webhooks allow you to automatically push key events that happen in Plannr, such as when a client is created or updated, into your system/app of choice. Perfect if you’re a Zapier user! 😍

Great news to kick off the week, account opening with Transact is now live in Plannr. 🤩 Check out the step by step video to walk you through the new functionality!

A little heads up, you will need to reconnect your Transact accounts for this to work on your site, owing to new credentials being required for this depth of integration, so head to https://app.plannrcrm.com/settings/external-connections to reconnect your Transact login.

This is another great step towards Plannr being the central hub for all your advice needs, with seamless data sharing across platforms and tools, and the elimination of any re-keying.

We have now added auto-assigning tasks to your paraplanners in the workflow task creation modal! So now, when you’re building your workflows in Plannr you can automagically assign tasks to the following assigned people from your clients’ contact records:

  • the client themselves

  • the assigned adviser

  • the assigned administrator

  • the assigned paraplanner

  • individual employees

  • a group of employees

To assign your dedicated team at a client level, you simply head to the client record and from the Actions menu, Update Basic Details. Under the service tab, there you can allocate your assigned team.

You can edit your existing workflows and swap out any paraplanning groups you were using, for the new Assigned Paraplanner toggle now!

Good news!

As part of a wider body of work we’re doing for our integration partners, we’ve added the functionality to record bank account details against a client record in Plannr.

You can add multiple accounts against multiple records; head to the Personal Details menu to check it out 🚀

Improved

As part of a wider body of work we’re doing, opening up permissions for clients to add and edit plans in the client portal, we’ve opened up the plan sub type within Plan Details for editing.

This will be useful when a client may not know their exact plan type - they can enter their best guess and once you have servicing rights and your LOA information back, this is now something you can change to reflect the accurate sub type.

Are you a mega-nerd who loves to use tools like PowerBI or Zapier? Or do you have a hunger for automating processes in your business? If so, keep reading!

We’ve just made it super easy to be able to provision your own API tokens for your Plannr account. With this new release, you can go to Settings ➡️ Account Details and you will find a new area for “Personal Access Tokens” here you can create API access tokens that can be used in third party tools like PowerBI / Zapier.

⚠️ A quick note on Zapier: While we’re still building an official integration with Zapier, this update gives advanced users the ability to start experimenting and building their own “Zaps” using the Plannr API. So it’s not the full integration just yet — but it’s a big step in that direction!

🛡️ Security reminder: Personal access tokens act like passwords and bypass 2FA, so please handle them with care. Some familiarity with API integrations is strongly recommended before diving in.

Great news! We’re now inviting users to trial the data feed available from Standard Life through Origo in Plannr!

You can enable the Addon in your Addon store as usual, and as it’s via Origo (contract enquiry) you’ll need each relevant adviser to add their Origo Unipass Certificate in Plannr, and then on each relevant plan ensure that the assigned adviser is set in Plan Details.

That’ll pull through data for your Standard Life plans for the following contract types:

  • Individual Stakeholder

  • Personal Pension

  • Group Stakeholder Personal Pension

  • Individual Personal Pension

  • Group Personal Pension

  • Executive Pension

  • Free Standing AVC

  • Occupational Scheme - Defined Contribution

  • Section 226 Retirement Annuity

  • Self Invested Personal Pension

  • Capital Investment Bond

  • Distribution Bond

  • With Profits Bond

  • International Bond

(Excluded from this data feed are your SSASs, TBPs and Tailored Investment Bonds).
