Are you a mega-nerd who loves to use tools like PowerBI or Zapier? Or do you have a hunger for automating processes in your business? If so, keep reading!

We’ve just made it super easy to be able to provision your own API tokens for your Plannr account. With this new release, you can go to Settings ➡️ Account Details and you will find a new area for “Personal Access Tokens” here you can create API access tokens that can be used in third party tools like PowerBI / Zapier.

⚠️ A quick note on Zapier: While we’re still building an official integration with Zapier, this update gives advanced users the ability to start experimenting and building their own “Zaps” using the Plannr API. So it’s not the full integration just yet — but it’s a big step in that direction!

🛡️ Security reminder: Personal access tokens act like passwords and bypass 2FA, so please handle them with care. Some familiarity with API integrations is strongly recommended before diving in.

Great news! We’re now inviting users to trial the data feed available from Standard Life through Origo in Plannr!

You can enable the Addon in your Addon store as usual, and as it’s via Origo (contract enquiry) you’ll need each relevant adviser to add their Origo Unipass Certificate in Plannr, and then on each relevant plan ensure that the assigned adviser is set in Plan Details.

That’ll pull through data for your Standard Life plans for the following contract types:

  • Individual Stakeholder

  • Personal Pension

  • Group Stakeholder Personal Pension

  • Individual Personal Pension

  • Group Personal Pension

  • Executive Pension

  • Free Standing AVC

  • Occupational Scheme - Defined Contribution

  • Section 226 Retirement Annuity

  • Self Invested Personal Pension

  • Capital Investment Bond

  • Distribution Bond

  • With Profits Bond

  • International Bond

(Excluded from this data feed are your SSASs, TBPs and Tailored Investment Bonds).

Let us know if you encounter any issues - we’ve tested the connection but nothing beats live data.

Improved

We’ve been making some big changes to the notes functionality in Plannr (so for those of you eagle-eyed users that noticed we’d switched off notes in the Factfind snapshot, here’s the grand reveal)!

We know that the information you record against your client’s records in your notes sometimes needs to be visible to the client and accessible via the Factfind and Factfind Snapshot, and sometimes it’s an internal note for your own purposes and doesn’t need to be client facing. For that reason we have brought in new functionality to Plannr whereby system notes can be marked as visible to client, or private. By default all notes will be set as private, with the option to make them visible if required.

Marking a note as visible to client means the client will see it on their Factfind Requests in their portal, and on any Factfind Snapshots you produce and save to a public facing folder in their portal.

(In areas where traditionally the record isn’t visible to the client, e.g. your case notes, these notes will always be private to your firm and are now marked as such for added reassurance).

We’ve made it nice and easy for you to identify if a note is public facing or not!

Any notes added at a circle level will copy across to each of the individual owners of the circle too. Likewise, any notes on individual records will be displayed within the circle as well. The breadcrumb underneath the note will tell you where it came from, and you can filter your notes at any time to only pull out the ones you need to read.

But that’s not everything! As we didn’t want to hold up this release and wanted to get it into your hands as soon as possible, there are still more changes coming that will be released in the coming weeks.

A little heads up:

  • You will be able to add an author for your factfind notes, so where a client might add a note on behalf of their partner in the partner’s factfind, this will now be clear which individual added the note.

  • A little update to the notes visible in some of your side modals (the screen that swishes across) based on the menu header you are viewing from. If for example you are in the client’s tasks area, clicking on banner notes will display all the notes from the tasks on show.

Fixed

Good news, we’ve just rolled out an improvement to the client portal that adjusts the values shown when the percentage ownership feature is used.

We’ve also thrown in a new tab on plans to show the ownership split, too!

We have opened up our richest integration yet with next-gen risk profiler Be-IQ to all users after a successful trial period. Featuring a fully integrated user interface, clients can complete their risk profile questionnaire as part of the factfinding experience from within their client portal, with no requirement for additional login credentials.

Want to take a closer look?

Check out this video

What are the highlights?

🫰🏼Be-IQ take a dual-science approach to risk profiling, addressing both psychometric and behavioural approaches to investing and financial literacy.

🫰🏼Their Behavioural Risk Score (BRS) evidences a 22% more accurate alignment to mapped asset allocations than a typical ATR questionnaire alone.

🫰🏼An impressive 6,000 mapped funds available compared with a leading competitor that offer around 1,200 funds!

You can enable Be-IQ in our addon store right now! 🚀

This will start you off with a free 14 day trial and if you then decide to continue using Be-IQ, your licence fee will be taken through your Plannr monthly payment so nothing else for you to do! The monthly cost after the trial period is £75 plus VAT per adviser.

Improved

Good news, we’ve added a handful of other filters / options for you when working with the main cases page in Plannr, and the cases exporter.

We’ve added the following new filters for the cases page:

  • Filter by contact / client

  • Filter by circle

  • Filter by employee

And for the cases export, you have:

  • Filter by contact (and circles, if you choose “add from circle”)

  • Filter by group

We hope that helps!

Improved

We’ve just rolled out a snazzy little addition to Circles where you can now include trusts and businesses into Circles.

When creating and/or editing Circles you now have the option to include the other client types and circles will still do it’s magic by aggregating all the plans / notes etc etc together for you.

Pretty handy if you’re working with families and their trusts! Enjoy!
