Task view header functionality

Could the task view header area show a "mini kanban style header" that gives functionality in respect of changing task statuses.

So in addition to the current status you have the other status options showing but greyed out…(past ones to the left / future ones to the right).

If you wished to then move the status whilst within a task you could just click the new status?

Guess a limitation would be firms that have many task status's but maybe you could just show 2 to the left and 2 to the right or something like that.

Also an idea that if you hover over the current and previous status's they show the elapsed no of days spent within each status?
