Notification previews

When someone else “mentions” me in a note, I get a notification symbol on the top-right of Plannr. When I click on the little bell symbol, I get very little detail, just the name of the person who mentioned me. This isn’t very good, because I want to decide whether to deal with the issue now or later, but the only way of checking on the content of the notification is to open it up, which then marks it as read, which means that, if I don’t want to deal with it straight away, I have to manually mark it as unread again. And that’s kludge-y and inefficient and can get confusing if I’m dealing with several such notifications at the same time.

Can you create a better way of dealing with it? Some kind of preview would work well, like when you can see the subject heading and first line or two of an email in an email client, without actually opening the email.

Or maybe a Preview button? Press it once, and the contents of the notification pop up in a box, then press it again and the preview disappears, without changing the “read” status.

Or something way cleverer than that?!
