This expected behaviour causes all entered data within that panel to be wiped clear, forcing the user to re-enter the information. This is a common occurrence and leads to significant frustration, because clicking outside the panel is easily done.
Steps to Replicate:
Navigate to a section of the system with an information input panel (Client Portal FF)
Begin entering data into the input fields within the panel.
Without submitting or saving, click anywhere outside the boundaries of the active input panel (e.g., on the background, another part of the page).
Observe that all data previously entered into the panel is cleared.
Expected Result: Clicking outside an information input panel should not clear the data unless there's an explicit "cancel" or "discard" action taken by the user. The system should either retain the entered data or prompt the user before discarding unsaved changes.
Actual Result: The data within the input panel is immediately cleared when the user clicks outside of it, without warning or user confirmation.
