Fact find - simplify plan entries for clients

Can we summarise the plans and reduce number of options? w

When entering existing plans there is a raft of plans to choose from. At adviser end it makes sense (even though I sometimes need to check some acronyms myself!!) but feels a bit OTT from client point of view.

Could it be changed on client side so they have for example less plans to choose from eg:

  • Investment > ISA, GIA, investment bond, other

  • Pension > defined benefit, employer pension, personal pension, other

etc

This is how it's set up in cashcalc and we think it's easier for client to understand and input. We could always override it and be more specific when the fact find is complete but would simplify the client journey a little.
