Copy Portal View Permissions When Impersonating a Client

When you impersonate a client Plannr creates a new access but with different portal settings to the client’s defined portal setting.

The user is automatically taken to the portal with 100% of all portal options active.
There is no option to edit or replicate, whereas the client may not have wealth, tasks, goals, factfind etc enabled.

This is currently a ‘power user’ view and not a true replication of the client’s access.

At the current design, to truly impersonate a client:
1. Click Impersonate

2. Select time limited access settings

3. Plannr automatically takes the user to the portal - with every access/view setting selected as Yes as default.

4. User switches back to their own access from the portal

5. User is returned back to user home screen,
6. User navigates to client again
7. User navigates to client ‘access’ page
8. User opens active client access and manually notes all enabled/disabled settings

9. User returns to newly creates Impersonation access, manually replicates the settings from the client access on to this access
10. User only then returns to the portal truly impersonating the client views/functions.

It should be the other way round.

The impersonation access should be created with identical setting as the client, which would then be a true ‘impersonation’.

The user can then decide to add additional functionality to their impersonation view by returning to access and editing the spoofed access with the additional steps above.
