Add client list to 'introduced by' field

We would like to track where an existing client has recommended a new client, by using the 'Introduced by' field in the Add new client modal, however, that would mean adding clients to our Introducers contact list and we don't really want to double key our clients. Can you open up the 'Introduced by' dropdown to search the client list as well as the introducers list?
