Improved
We’ve been making some big changes to the notes functionality in Plannr (so for those of you eagle-eyed users that noticed we’d switched off notes in the Factfind snapshot, here’s the grand reveal)!
We know that the information you record against your client’s records in your notes sometimes needs to be visible to the client and accessible via the Factfind and Factfind Snapshot, and sometimes it’s an internal note for your own purposes and doesn’t need to be client facing. For that reason we have brought in new functionality to Plannr whereby system notes can be marked as visible to client, or private. By default all notes will be set as private, with the option to make them visible if required.
Marking a note as visible to client means the client will see it on their Factfind Requests in their portal, and on any Factfind Snapshots you produce and save to a public facing folder in their portal.
(In areas where traditionally the record isn’t visible to the client, e.g. your case notes, these notes will always be private to your firm and are now marked as such for added reassurance).
We’ve made it nice and easy for you to identify if a note is public facing or not!
Any notes added at a circle level will copy across to each of the individual owners of the circle too. Likewise, any notes on individual records will be displayed within the circle as well. The breadcrumb underneath the note will tell you where it came from, and you can filter your notes at any time to only pull out the ones you need to read.
But that’s not everything! As we didn’t want to hold up this release and wanted to get it into your hands as soon as possible, there are still more changes coming that will be released in the coming weeks.
A little heads up:
You will be able to add an author for your factfind notes, so where a client might add a note on behalf of their partner in the partner’s factfind, this will now be clear which individual added the note.
A little update to the notes visible in some of your side modals (the screen that swishes across) based on the menu header you are viewing from. If for example you are in the client’s tasks area, clicking on banner notes will display all the notes from the tasks on show.
