Input Panel on Client Portal Fact Find not remembering data

This expected behaviour causes all entered data within that panel to be wiped clear, forcing the user to re-enter the information. This is a common occurrence and leads to significant frustration, because clicking outside the panel is easily done. Steps to Replicate: Navigate to a section of the system with an information input panel (Client Portal FF) Begin entering data into the input fields within the panel. Without submitting or saving, click anywhere outside the boundaries of the active input panel (e.g., on the background, another part of the page). Observe that all data previously entered into the panel is cleared. Expected Result: Clicking outside an information input panel should not clear the data unless there's an explicit "cancel" or "discard" action taken by the user. The system should either retain the entered data or prompt the user before discarding unsaved changes. Actual Result: The data within the input panel is immediately cleared when the user clicks outside of it, without warning or user confirmation.

State Pension tab in the Fact Find

When entering the State Pension details on the Fact Find I find the questions problematic. When it asks ‘Are you in receipt of your State Pension’ if you answer ‘Yes’ it still seems to want you (the client) to fill in ‘Have you recently obtained a forecast?’ ‘State retirement age’ ‘What is your projected State Pension?’ ‘How many years have you made National Insurance Contributions?’ This causes confusion if you (the client) is already in receipt of their pension. As far as I’m concerned, if you answer that you are already in receipt of the State Pension, the other fields should be greyed out and the only question should be ‘How much is your State Pension?’ and the ‘Frequency’. That’s the benefit of an intelligent IT based questionnaire over a paper based one. Likewise, the normal State Pension Age could be calculated and generated by the system. I believe this was either on IO or CashCalc or even both. What do you/others think?

Pie chart for Wealth Overview on Client Portal

I’d suggest on the client portal with the Wealth Overview, there should be a pie chart showing the breakdown of the ‘Wealth’ - e.g. property, investments, pensions etc. so it’s a quick snapshot to show where the wealth figure comes from and clients can click through via each slice to ‘explore’ further. As it stands now, it’s not obvious to clients and there is only a small button to ‘explore’. A recent client feedback of the Client Portal was that he thought the wealth figure stated was a typo of his investment value as he didn’t realise this was ‘wealth’ (Net worth) and didn’t realise he can click through the ‘explore’ button.

Fixed Assets - Home - On Fact Find

I struggle with this and clients continually fail to record their home accurately in the Fact Find section. From ‘Add new plan’ section you select ‘Fixed Asset’. This gives you a dropdown which includes: ‘Property’ ‘Property (Btl)’ ‘ Property (Investment)’ ‘ Property (Other)’ ‘Property (Overseas)’ ‘Property (Rental)’ Forgive me, but what about ‘Propery (Home)’ That is going to be the most common property fixed asset and yet it isn’t shown. Likewise, its the only one that is CGT free on disposal. Beyond that, all the other non-necessary fields should be greyed out: ‘Plan Provider’ ‘Parent Wrap’ ‘Held within a wrap’ ‘ Plan Status’ ‘Adviser who sold’ ‘Active adviser’ ‘ Adviser for contract enquiry’. There is no relevance to a plan for your or a client’s ‘Home’. Am I missing something?
